The reverse loop module at the entrance to my loop has developed an audible tick - 2 ticks per second (ish). I have a DCC system. The module still switches polarity but the ticking continues. Any ideas as to why please?

I had the same issue last year with one of my LGB modules.

Could be a short or a loose connection, so I would re-visit that first....

Yes Gizzy. You could well be right. Its all suffering from over winter tardiness! Perhaps needs a good cleaning of the connections.

Having re-read my 'LGB II, the Sequel' thread today, I am reminded that the clicking was due to a short circuit, caused by the springs on my LGB level crossing contacting the rail-clamps.

So I would check for a short across the rails of the track in the return loop first....

Your pen portrait says that you are a gentleman. I can confirm it! Many thanks. Will test tomorrow - supposed to be a lovely day.
