Mine actually runs just fine, and I really like it - bought when they hadn't been out for ALL that long, but maybe it's not one of the very first batch.... it's a little odd, with two small Mabuchi motors each driving one axle, but it runs smoothly and reliably and the sound (Dietz) is lovely.
A bit basic on the detailing, especially inside, but then that's TL45 for you.

Oh, nearly forgot, I've also got a very Germanic-looking Steam Railcar, an old LGB conversion from a small batch built for GRS sometime last Century... now retrofitted with Massoth DCC and sound.

I'm pretty sure that my club has two Piko trailers (from 37300) available for sale (plus a motorised one (37308). Not in the "throwing away" category, but open to offers. I wouldn't be able to get my hands on them until later next month, though.

After finally moving house from one of the biggest dumps I have had the misfortune of living in, i have bought a new house, and this means a new start for the garden railway too. I managed to salvage about 50% of the track from the old house. The new garden is not as big, so I plan on doing a simple circuit, passing loop, couple of sidings. This one is going to be small, but well detailed, having learnt a lot from my past railway. This will include natural borders between track and soil/planting. Must have a bridge, and a cutting, maybe an embankment. All ideas welcome, I am planning to build it in the area to the far side of the railway sleepers.

Point to note … smaller can be better, you give more careful consideration to the layout design . Your space doesn’t appear much different than mine I’ve multiple bridges, including a trestle, & tunnel with all well thought out plantings.And we all learn from past mistakes- mine was accessibility & that can be more challenging with limited space - good luck
