Can't beat a railbus. They're a good easy thing to have out when you can't be bothered with a full on, complicated running session.Very nice pics, and great progress!
I'm getting rather more familiar with LGB railbuses than I'd entirely like, at the moment - trying (with varying degrees of success) to chip four of the little b***ers, of varying vintages....

Loves em me does, one batteryfied and an unknown number chipped. One on the top shelf is a back to back 2 car Pig Nose and I have a 3 car very early Maroon only one upstairs, there may even be another 2 car set somewhere or perhaps I sold that on here. Great pics of 2 of em on your line @duncan1_9_8_4 .Very nice pics, and great progress!

Edit: I'm assuming you mean the yellow/green one? Technically all of the older railbuses COULD be that, because all of them used to be supplied with the Jaegermeister stickers on a big sheet, don't know how many people put ever them on their red/cream ones?

Absolutely! As well as the four LGB ones of varying ages, colours and types, I also have a Trainline45 Harz T1, and a Dietz Selters-Hachenberg type - plus a very cute little handbuilt one from a German chap, which looks like a shortened "Baby T1"...
Would love one of the newer-type Harz ones from Ed's GartenBahn, but the budget won't stretch to that at the moment...!

Yes a Jaeger @duncan1_9_8_4 . I have the Cardboard cutout Salters one, nothing like yours of course but from a distance looks ok and is DCC chipped running very nicely. I never got round to getting the Trainline Harz T1 as the reviews of running in the early days were awful, now of course I would put batteries in it and remove those running horrors. Must investigate the Ed’s offerings, I would certainly like any of the Bogie variety other than the LGB one which whilst nice is more of a loco than a Railcar.Absolutely! I have a euphemistically name steaming spur, which I use to load the big locos directly from their cradles (saves disconnecting fragile tender cables).
However, if I then run battery power, and forget to re-set the point to mainline running ............................. It has been known for Big Bertha to take off over the paving and head for the car port

Mine is fitted with Mxion decoders with sound. My other 2 are fitted with a Massoth XL and 55021 respectively. I also have 2 other LGB 2064 railcars have DIetz decoders both with sound. Also an LGB29650 twin Railcar set with factory fitted decooder (without sound).

You'd need to sell more than one Pigsnout, JonD, the Ed's GB ones start a little over two grand... they do look VERY nice though!
I never used to really like the Harz newer ones, until my visit there a few years back when we (me, Chris and Stuart) got almost a personalised trip round the whole Selketal route on one of them - from Alexisbad to Eisfelder Talmuhle we had it all to ourselves apart from the driver!

Mine actually runs just fine, and I really like it - bought when they hadn't been out for ALL that long, but maybe it's not one of the very first batch.... it's a little odd, with two small Mabuchi motors each driving one axle, but it runs smoothly and reliably and the sound (Dietz) is lovely.
A bit basic on the detailing, especially inside, but then that's TL45 for you.
Oh, nearly forgot, I've also got a very Germanic-looking Steam Railcar, an old LGB conversion from a small batch built for GRS sometime last Century... now retrofitted with Massoth DCC and sound.
