Our last cat was ginger suffered from sunburnt ears making him really grouchy and bad-tempered; he still insisted on laying out in the sun, however.

Well, sometimes it's because they fall asleep in the sun. But for ginger cats, white cats and black and white cats with white tips to their ears, too much sun (maybe too strong doses of sun) can lead to cancer of the ear, not in the ear but on the sticking up bit of the ear. One of my secretaries had two cats both with white ears and both had had to have bits of their ear amputated because of cancer. Fortunately, the amount removed didn't have to be large and the vet did a bit of "sculpting" to make the loss less obvious and both lived to good ages (despite still liking to sleep in the sun!)Sometimes I think they're clever, and then they do silly things like that.
Nah! Not so much clever as stubborn!!Sometimes I think they're clever, and then they do silly things like that.
They're lovely. But very long. Lots of clearance work had to be done to make them fit.Tempted by the T3 railcar, sort of luckily for me, when I was over there in 94 & 95, didn't see any of the railcars, so can't get excited about them, mind you if someone put batteries in one and brought it over the Pennines......![]()

How long are they? They're lovely. But very long.
I searched the LGB site and unlike original cats no length is shown. But here is some interesting info on the beasts from that source. How long are they?
640mm, according to GartenBahn DatenBank . . .I searched the LGB site and unlike original cats no length is shown

Tape measure was conveniently close, 65cm, which is ok. It's just that the bogies are right at the end of the chassis, meaning a massive central overhang on corners. How long are they?
