The Woodlock Line

Ahhh, still not got a Stainz, it's on the list of future things to buy. I've never owned one.
Unless you fit a Stay Alive unit you are very likely to be disappointed with the running abilities. Though I note you have a couple of small 4 wheel beasties, do they run ok when you have perfectly clean track?

Yeah not too bad, the occasional stalling on points sometimes.....

After many years of problems with a 3 way point, it's time to say goodbye. I've had a very poor experience with the thing, mostly with the left turn aspect of it. Locomotive and rolling stock wheels always fall out of gauge on the 'frog', resulting in having to do trailing moves only, and that's a lottery as to if it works or not. I've thickened check rails, adjusted the level, everything.

As you all know by now, I prefer a reliable railway, so it has to go. New RH points incoming, courtesy of @dunnyrail (much appreciated). And to be fair, I had the point because I could, and it was needed at the time for a return loop, but now it forms a proper second circuit. Good riddance 3 way point, you could have been so much better. (so now it will sit it the spares cupboard). And now I have a spare reverse loop module.

Progress update:

Careful Duncan, all this removal of P&C and plain lining could result in closure of the local signal box and control passing to York ROC :D
Just like the real thing, half our infrastructure is signed out of use, and bare minimum on Sheffield area. Never known so many RT3187 forms in my time on the railway.

Don't worry all will be well when yesterdays announcements are built and in use by the mid 2040’s.

i am going to say it again because you really deserved it:
You came from a long way, all i have are thumbs up....nothing less!
BTW are you familiar with the stuff that is called: resin...and perhaps silicone? or a 3d printer....
If not...stay away! because it will open a whole new world........

Why thank you, kind sir. 3D printing, I know of it, but don't need another hobby.... :D

New point fitted along with it's motor. Just need to cut some track to fill the gap, but frankly it's too wet and cold. Looks a lot better with ballast now though.
You can never get the Per way and S&T to coordinate, I hope those new points are "clipped and scotched" in the reverse position and a reminder on the panel! :D
