		 Just picked up on this thread.... very good, and logical work. You should be pleased with the outcome. As for 'fill' material, I would not recommend bark chip, it tends to blow away, break down, and/or turn a horrible grey colour. May I suggest some well placed stepping stones, and fill in with round peebles, easier on your feet than sharp chips).

  Cheers Gavin. Yeah, I think I am going off the bark chip idea, pebbles sound good, and would break it up well! Today I have been teasing myself, I have had a loco out on the track to stage some pics, as it is not yet wired up. Bought a bit more soil to start back-filling, but at nearly £4 for 25L bag, it is proving quite expensive, let alone the plants. I miss my established garden that I had in Dewsbury at the other house, its horrible starting again, but as a plus, it is allowing me to get the detail right, natural borders etc. Here are some better, day light pictures!
