After I found out an old friend and fellow modeller had passed away earlier this week I decided I would have a tribute to him, so named a crossing in his memory
The nameboard style is based on the original Leek and Manifold design
A short train was also run
Which later shunted the D class wagon into the goods shed out of the elements
The Earl, ex-Berry Hill Works on the Sherwood Oaks Light Railway.
Matt had fitted a Summerlands chuff pipe and while the smokebox was off, gave it a repaint and detailing, so instead of just picking it up today of course we had a little "play"!
The result can be seen on YouTube if you enter

I have just done a re-paint on an accy baldwin. Its going to be Ashover Light Railway 'PEGGY' needs the plates and ALR on the cab side aswell as the lining round the nameplates.
Its getting tempting to collect a train from each of the well known local lines near me.... The Ashover and the Leek and Manifold when you see these all spruced up by Matt....... But that would mean changing scale for a while!
Fabulous line by the way, just been catching up by reading through the thread!
Thanks for the comments
Today another building went out, this time a garage. It is actually a bashed AnDel crofters cottage with added doors and details. I rendered the inside with car filler to give a rough plastered look.
