Just thought It was about time I posted some pictures of my line,
The CWLR was originally a 2ft 6in gauge stone carrying railway that closed in the late 50's. It has since been re-opened by preservationists to serve a country park (think Dinorwic only smaller!), carrying visitors and freight in and out, utilising the surviving Locos and Rolling stock from the original line. The line runs from the Village of Charlwood to Lake, one of the (now flooded) quarry workings which is used for pleasure boating etc.
The line is still a work in progress, so things are changing (and hopefully improving) continuously, in fact, a couple of places along the line now look slightly different, just 1 week after these images were taken!
Loco No. 2 at the bottom of the steep climb into Lake Station
Later, on the same day, No. 2 finds itself collecting a single wagon from Lake siding
No. 2 (I do have other locos.... Honest!) Drifts past cottage halt with an afternoon train, the rather tired cottage will soon be replaced with a nice new one!
A short distance down the line, No.2 passes the former Quarrymans chapel.
At the end of a long, hard days work, No. 2 "Charlie" cools down in the evening breeze outside Charlwood Loco Shed.
