Sunday Evening Pictures

Its been bitterly cold today in Cornwall, but I did get some tack laid and tested, but by midday I had had enough of the wind, so looked at some nice B/W pics instead,

I wanted a simple looking modernish ( for me thats fifties era) through station that trains can rumble through or stop at and found this nice pic at first glance it dont look real,

the second pic is of lineside waggon repairs, scale of it is awsome,
pics are from the SIRMAN collection,

Gloriuos weekend here, but spent most of it clearing the garden for planting, I did allow myself a good run around with the RS3, and my hoppers from LKDVL I got the wheels fitted in them, I also found some nice model potato boxes and some corrugated pig shelters when stood on end and stuck together look like water tanks or whatever

Hi Pete
Do like your new ghostly looking Doodlebug was it the one i saw on ebay the other day

Yep well spotted, I thought i would have had to battle for it, no other bids runs really sweetly, undecided about the paintwork it will carry but for now will be running the branchline,

After a week away it was good to get home, I had a very good trip up north by train, I got a good deal on a ticket and did not need to change trains, even when one half of the one I was in conked out at Birmingham, I may start travelling more now the price of fuel has risen, by train!!!!
I had a parcel waiting for me from Minimans , thanks Paul, the wheels and controllers are spot on, I spent today outdoors planting and weeding with a bit time set aside for trains

Great Pics Pete Do like those rusty wheels in your gondola are they metal gone rusty or have you painted them

I find your thread quite distracting as it makes me want to add some US locos and rolling stock to my collection

So far I have resisted but with the Piko boxcars at only £40 the temptation is always there despite them being 1/32 scale.
From what I've gleaned from your posts you have a mix of mainly 1/29, modified Bachmann (1/24?) with some 1/32 thrown in too but with difference in height of US stock it really works and goes well together making your thread another on here where I eagerly look forward to the updates.
