Thunder and wind all sunday night and it got out nice at tea time tonight usual holiday weather, never mind got lots of catching up done around the place,​

will need to drill more holes in the hoppers though they were full to the brim today, at least they dont blow away as much as they did when the treesmade a wind tunnel,

Looks like you had a bit of a storm with all that rain you need a rain gauge on one of those hopper cars , have had no rain here for ages but it has been very windy so no trains this week end for me .

All sorts today wind was severe so no chance of running anything . ​

I got the loop half done on the branch took longer than the original for som reason, thanks to Robsmorgan for the track so that will happen this week,there was a lot destroyed with the tree felling here, still a few ugly stumps to sort out!! ​

I also had a suprise visitor , I had a bid on this old bird but got out bid as usual​

but then appeard at the club from another member needing attention,​

Do like the way those washers have gone rusty on your hoppers
The old Bachmann Remote control loco thats what got me started in G scale about 15 years ago got the whole set for £50 in a Xmas shop in Bath have since repainted the loco black & silver with Rio Grande decals

had a annie for a while but it never got up the hill so got flogged off, still like th elook of them, shame no one does a decent model with a bit clout about it, would sell well,​

awesome mate!!! sound very busy man doing all yr work,,,well done so yes i have tht annie so i did use it and ended up in black and rusty and layin on the rockie creek without motor so i will send u a picture ok?
so im lookin for metal wheels for the bogies in need..coz i am doin 3rd project but need a metal wheels...anyone have it? or where can i buy from?

Hi Steve, best place for those old annies is on a plinth or at the bottom of a ravine,​

Today was spent on the beach and in the garage, but I did get another loco wired up ,

I wanted to get the battery inside the loco for weight but it wouldnt fit, so tried the tender and after some sawing and relocating pcb all went in and switches as well,

test run on battery only shed it would handel ten boxcars more than it would need to do,

just need painting and details and all ready to use on the branchline​

hi so hw many volts and amps for this battery spockie so where did u get tht from?

Steve just type into ebay search burglar alarm supplies, cant remember where I got it from was about 8£ last year

got the tunnel portal from Exeter show a few years ago, no idea who made them, still needs toning down though

yes i did found one..thks u spockie so tht why i did using a spare battery drill recharge batteries fitted inside the caboose for runnin the motor on my old ex steam loco with switches..have a look at my threads on kit and building mate..wink

Windy weekend but a lot got done, ​

the council regritted the road to the end so I had a few sweepings that gave me the oomph to start laying the rest of the track from Robsmorgan,​

​

​

exactely the right amount to fix the runaround loop, ​

​

​

​

I even finished digging out the tunnel and got the liner installed, need a week at work to relax,

so windy the boxcars wont stay on the track,evens the hoppers with the heavy wheels sets struggled to stay on, so nothing for it but to get out the silver, it is a day off,I ran the F3 as well still needs the headlamps wired up, I also started to backfill the tunnel sides,

cor,,flimin heck! WOW...yes it was very windy hours ago!! lol...loves the pictures and aslo tunnel! wow...sound u r very busy man as i m the same as today doing the fish pond!! it gone!!!..need landscape ...my kid ask me if i mite make a rockie mountain on the middle!! clever idea!!
