Sunday Evening Pictures

Nice work on the saddle tank Pete

A hot hot day, good reason to run the railway and sit in a chair,
The peddlar freight run around clearing weeds and dead things off the track,
the Budd railcar spent the day rattling around and a empty coal train made a short appearance, the summer is coming here anyways,

I got my track plan worked out and the track earmarked to fit using salvaged bits from the dismantled sections, then it rained so nothing done for two days

Base boards and track are really looking good Pete

A galvanised baseboard certainly pays dividends in good old Blighty!

Looks like you'll have an impressive area to sort out your rolling stock.

Looking hugely impressive, Pete. Really like your long run and flowing curves - a great railway.

After what seems like months I got the railway running again, i decided to double track the main line and rip out some of the sidings , that gave me almost enough track to double what I had plus what was left rom the sidings i reused for a new branch line interchange , first day of running with some temporary buildings set out,

I had a try making a crossing using Peco individual-ay components, a bit of a fiddle , I think I prefer using solder and copper-clad, but is seems to work OK so will see how it performs, Just got two more yards of track to lay and then can start running trains again, and yes U know I should be building Shark nose's but I want some track to test them on as well,

Good to see the line being brought back into use again for the summer

Looking forward to seeing more pics of your trains running.

no let up in the stormy weather this week again ,but I did get out and tested the two shark-nose quickly between rain storms, I also had a look at using the cheap locos i got at £14 each , they need a bit of work but with metal wheels in and one motor block between them will make a show as light loco's running around maybe make into a track cleaner?,

I also found some cheap baling machines to use as a flatcar load,
plus my internet is working --- at the moment,

Got a family of swallows in the baseboards ready to fly away, I only noticed them yesterday, I also got some new platforms done using some offcuts of tiles from the bathroom floor, they look better than the bathroom!!, and star4ted laying out a level crossing in the little town area,
