Stupid People

Some people are really stupid - I mean balls out, 100%, palm up stupid.

WHY pay more on Ebay for something second hand when you can buy it cheaper, new ???

Six lengths of PECO G45 track, second hand but cleaned well, presently going for £67.50 PLUS £7.50 postage - with still 6d 21h to go !!!

Track Shack's price, for brand new, is £69 plus £4 postage.

::)

I have no idea why people do this... even the fact that some people used to bid over the BIN price until eBay stopped that...

The world is full of stupid people. We shouldn't be surprised ;-)

if it wasnt for the stuiped pepole, we might be considered normal :o

I've noted that, PayPal no longer automatically sends your address, you have to add it in the message. Only via eBay does it automatically include the address ;)
Didn't realise that - thanks for the heads-up

Just bought a book from the Middleton Press via their own site using PayPal. The e-mailed PayPal receipt clearly shows my address and that it is confirmed. It will be interesting to see what happens. My address is not shown on the Middleton Press order confirmation.

That's odd... virtually all my customers pay via Paypal (these are sales through my own online store, not via eBay), and in every case - I've just checked on one of the orders in this morning - I get an email from Paypal giving me all details of the transaction including the customer's full address to ship to, it also tells me whether that address is confirmed/verified by PP or not.

Back to the original topic, maybe people are prepared to pay extra for the patina of aging, after all dull aged track always looks better.

If you select payment as a gift with Paypal you don't get the contact info as they assume you know people you are giving gifts to!

Not really worth a great deal though, it's free with time!! ;) ;) ;D

Some folks dont want to spend the time to shop around, I dont know why, its not that hard to comparison shop different vendors. Buying second hand for price of new is pretty silly.
