I have the Regner Heisler live steam engine. It has a Dead-leg or Roscoe displacement lubricator. Steam oil is filled up to the adjusting spindle ,instructions say to close the spindle completely and then back it off 2 complete turns . At the end of a 10 minute run i open the lubricator cap to suck the water out and notice that hardly any oil has been used and there seems to be no water in the bottom of the lubricator. I have backed off the spindle even more but still seeing the same amount of oil in the lubricator. I’m wondering if any oil is mixing with the steam . Wondering if anyone else has this engine and can provide some assistance. Thanks.
