A really lovely line. A real example of less is more and it is full of atmosphere. (My layout is rather 'more is less' when compared with this one)

Depending where you are in Derbyshire (I'm in Long Eaton), if you're in need of ballast, there is a good quarry that I last used a couple of years ago - bought quite a bit, so haven't needed to go lately, so I hope they're still operating. Take the A 515 from Ashbourne to Buxton and at Parsley Hay turn right onto a lane called The Rake. After a short distance, turn right again onto Long Rake leading towards Youlgrave and the quarry is on your right after about a mile. They sell quite a variety of different stones in sizes from 3 mm up and are very helpful. I bought a greeny-gray granite in 3-5mmwhich weathers very nicely and I think it was £2.75/£2.95 for a 10 kilo bag.

I know where you mean! Not that far from me, I'll pop in at some point when I'm driving past. I always thought they dealt with the trade only!
Thanks
