After some testing, I found the ideal weight should be around 25grams to suit my stock, the lightest of which was a W&L falt waggon.

What a superb resource this forum is. I've been tinkering with trying to get my Peco points to return to one side in preparation for a new automated reversing loop, when I came to the issue of what to use a spring. This thread is 10 years old but still provided the best solution possible. Finding floppy discs was a problem then, night on impossible now, but the elastic band solution works a dream.
