I was building my pond in this heat, what I did was to plonk 3 Bricks in a Bucket of Water for a minute or two before laying them, helps massively for bonding. When I was doing the last one of the 3, 3 more went in the bucket..

Yes that’s right for Dave I got it for that purpose in France but never got around to using it. I should have put the cover on now with all this sun.

Thanks, the garden is about 1/3 the size of the garden we had in France so the railway this time will be about a 1/3 the size of the previous one.

I managed to get one of the side walls completed today, before the heat and the bad back got to me. This is more like a Garden landscaping project the Garden railways at the moment but i am slowly getting there.

Can’t use all that water it hasn’t rained down these parts for two months.

(and the water company has so many leaky pipes, say no more)

Got a few more bricks down today, still waiting for the rain but sadly nothing yet?
The problem is when it starts will it know when to stop; I still have a few more bricklaying days before me.

After having a verey plesant day off yesterday attending a West Midlands G Scale Garden Meet I managed to get a few more bricks down and almost completed the front right Garden Planter. Well that’s what I say it is, it may have a train running through it also.
