Soundtraxx Tsunami steam2 TSU4400 speaker values

I’m about to install a TSU4400 into a Bachmann Connie. What is the maximum wattage I can use in the speaker? The ohm rating is 8 ohms, which I understand to be within the tolerance of the decoder output.
What speaker do others recommend?

According to the specs the Audio amplifier can deliver 3 Watts into an 8-Ohm Load
Give a bit of head room and use possibly a 2-2.5W speaker.

Edit; Use a higher wattage not a lower one, lower can be damaged.
I was thinking fuses.

Any speaker that has a rating of 3 watts to 5 watts will work. If you go to full volume with a speaker at lower wattage than the Output specs will have some distortion. Depending on your hearing you may or may not hear the distortion. Myself I never go smaller than the wattage rating of the sound source.
