Live Steam, scratch building

The wheelsets are Tenmille curly spoke wheels, available in either 32 or 45 mm gauge. Slaters do some similar ones.
The frame is made from clear pine bought from Homebase, the rails are from obechi stip from the local areoplane model shop. The brass supports are brass rod with a brass tube as a spacer between each rail. The brass rivets came from GRS and the brass strip for the straps from Atropos. I built them as a batch as there are about 100 bits of brass tube to cut/sand to length for the spacers.
The original couplings were the standard 16mm hook and chain variety, subsequently swapped for some finer scale Talisman ones that were available from Brandbright (not sure if they are still available)
