Used to tow the Sea Land containers on their trailers in my convoys in Vietnam, from the port city of Qui Nhon to the central highlands city Pleiku. I thought it would be fun to have one on a piggyback to tow on my garden layout. I found a trailer frame on eBay, made the rest. I used metal foil duct tape for the metal 'look'. I made the lettering on Paplio ink jet vinyl, just cut it out, peel and apply.

Thanks guys,
I used metal duct tape, with a backing you pull off. Sticks on good! FIRST though you emboss it from the back to get 'rivets'. I also use a ball point pen to score lines for panels/etc. You can then prime and paint it, since it is metal. Comes in handy a lot for a 10' guy!

Great work Jerry. The foil tape has many uses, I have used it in HO for "repair patch" modelling on projects (especially PRR cabins/cabooses) and even to repair damaged reflectors in a pinch on European car headlamps.

Thanks for the pix Tony. They had several types of containers and logos. I tried to make it like the ones I had in my convoys.

Garrett, I really like that foil also. Used it on my rotary snow plow.
