As the title really......
Having a mountain of track my thoughts today have turned to changes for my railway......

Were I doing it, I'd try to avoid that S curve at the top end of the photo, especially at it looks to have an R1 as part of it.
But playing with track layouts with real track pieces is fun, isn't it? ;)

I had thought that too I’ll see how it goes.... it’s an r2 into an r3 but might keep the straight a little longer and cut and use 1/2 an r3.......

Just picked up on this thread. Looked at photo 1, and straight away saw the derailment problem. That joint at the end of the point where it joins the main line going off to the right, is your problem.... it is not lining up properly.
