Round Robin boxcar

Thanks, It has been updated and widened since then, I have had to get rid of all the R1 stuff to enable the running of our live steamers. It is a great spot to sit outside in the evening and watch trains while having a quiet one. The plants have grown a fair bit as well.

Some more photos from Donmurken, Papakura, Auckland,NZ. Also took the Wandering Boxcar to work today, it has now travelled in my DMU cab on the Auckland Suburban network.

Hi Mike - pic looks good - love the trestle (very neat).

Might you post some more pics of your line in a dedicated thread?

Wow glad to see it's still doing the rounds!! and it's nice to see all the 'stuff' thats inside it!!!! I think were going to run out of space soon though for the signitures? Perhaps a small log book inside to travel with it??

Good idea Paul. The Boxcar will be at the NZ Garden Railway Convention this weekend as it passes through from the Auckland region to the Canterbury region. I'll try and remember to find a suitable Log Box to put inside.

Any news on the boxcar?

Wow its been on the road for almost 4 years!, Glad to see its still going strong. :o

Right, just to to keep things up today here are some photos from part of it's South Island journey. (For some reason the lads have had a bit of trouble getting the pictures up so I'll do it for them).
First up from Kerry Paterson provided these photos as the Round Robin Boxcar is hauled by his scratch built Ja around his Ashburton Forks Railway...

Don Ellis has been co-ordinating it's South Island travel, well mostly the greater Christchurch area and Ashburton, but anyway just to prove it has been on his Lincoln Greenbelt & Broadfield Railway, Don provided this photo.

It might just sneek a farewell trip around the H&MGR, but it's now time to say good bye and sent it off the Australia. It's been great having it in NZ ;D

The boxcar having its first run in Australia, as part of the N&BR`s daily pick up goods, on a sunny but also somewhat soggy mid winter day in Adelaide  :D.  Still the temp was about 14 and trains ran all day, so who`s complaining?  ;D ;D

I wonder were people will write on this wagon in the near future? Every bit of surface seems covered. Perhaps we should add another wagon and call it 'Round Robin Consist'?

Any news?
