Parcel arrived to be greeted with a mix of snow, hail and rain. An hour later black skies suddenly turned blue and sun came out. Much rushing about enabled the scene to be set for the formal 'visit'. A cast commemorative plaque had earlier been commisioned in readiness from the local Carr-Stein Foundry. A quick phone call resulted in a local Amazonian celebrity appearing to conduct the formalities - Lady Fiona Stereo (known colloquially as High-Fi). Not to be outdone our Transatlantic cousins mustered a double-headed freight for the opposite working and is shown leaving Hemsby bound for East Somerton. The boxcar was marshalled into a maximum visibility position between two flat-cars just in case someone actually turned up to take a photo.
The runs having been completed satisfactorily Lady Fiona expressed her thanks on behalf of the HVR for being afforded the opportunity to play host to this globe trotting phenomena, but also her concern that there were only male figures (plus a frog) accompanying said vehicle on it's journey. As a mark of her esteem she has requested her white cat join the entourage as she thought the travellers might like a little pussy for company.
Final shot of Robin under the charge of the Wismar Railbus en-route to Norwich (via a little known branchline connection at Salhouse) for it's onward transit to Kent.
Proceedings were swiftly brought to a close by the return of the hail and a need to clear up as works looms again in the (very early) morning.
