Luckily I covered all of the wooden buildings after the open day as it has rained for practically the whole day. I had also 'lost' my glasses after the day was over. But you request for the dimensions of the Plow cutter has sort of found them for me. I had left them by the station last night!
Anyhow the dimensions are: the cutting wheel is 9cm and the front housing is 10cm. I have a feeling that the wheel might be a little small for yours but I am not sure.....you could buy the front housing as well and fit that inside your housing....8|

We too woke up to rain so we decided not to go shopping in Shrewsbury also we were all very tired as we didn't get home until 11.30 Chloe had the morning off school she whated the whole day but we said NO . Back to the plow i think the USAT cutting teeth will fit just right as the Fan i used is a 90mm one . Does that come with the paddles that throw out the snow ? Will get onto USAT to try and get one . The cutting teeth do look like the ones used on Rotary Plow OM which i think is what the USAT plow is based on .

The Rio Grande today put into steam the Rotary Snow Plow OY as snow has been fore casted here's a few shots caught in light snow on it's way to Rockery Ridge summit

Cheers guys , The snow was just not deep enough today for the Rotary to do any work lets see what tonight brings
I'm glad i painted my plow with the red oxide now as it does look nice against the snow

This is the great thing about modelling out side you get all four seasons of weather

Got in from work tonight and found that we have had a few centre metres of snow on the line so i thought i would try my plow in the dark , but had trouble as the snow had turned to ice and found it hard to get power to the motor had to clear the line of ice first then all was ok the blower worked really well throwing out the snow but after about 10 minutes of plowing the motor started to get hot i think i may have had it running to fast . Heres a few night time pics .

The new motor for my plow came this week end so i now have all the parts to get my plow back up and running
The motor is a geared 6:1 24v which is connected to the new vacuum cleaner fan using a 6mm hubb which can be bolted on hope to start work on this next week .

Had a chance to start work on the new Rotar for the OY this week end .
Had to file down the 92mm fan that i had to 90mm had a tip from some one at work to fit a bolt through the centre of the fan and attach to a drill then place the file on the fan as it's spinning worked a treat very quick result round and smooth
The fixings were removed from the rear of the rotar housing to allow the fan to fit agaist the back wall and the wire to the head light was relocated .
Switch for the plow and lights have been fixed just behide the front sliding door .
Just need to fix motor back into place and paint the fan and rotar housing .
