Re:RIO GRANDE ROTARY SNOW PLOW OY VISITS BEAVERCREEK

Have repainted the front rotar housing with red oxide primer and applied some small OY decals on the front head light as i came across a photo with them here . This was then bolted back on to the plows bodie ready for more action . Did wake up to snow this morning but it melted very quickly :crying: .

Hello, I came to this thread via another forum so have been reading through it with great interest. First let me say as somone who is also performing their first bash and understand the learning curve, you my friend are an artist. That is just excellent work.

Second did you ever get it to throw snow the way you wanted?

I am only just toying with the idea of building one. I have other projects I should focus on and since my proto type never did use a rotary until they were gobbled up by NP and converted to standard gauge it is not an important piece. I just love rotary plows and building a narrow gauge one would be a fun challange. And your write up will go along way in helping me should I decide to ever do it.

Again exceleent job.

Hi Devon
Glad you enjoyed the building of my Rotary OY  Many thanks for your kind words
Enjoyed every minute of the build turned out a lot better than i ever thought , have had it throw out some light dusty snow but the last snow we had was really wet and heavy just clogged up the fan just need some 1:24 scale snow . I also wrote a article on the build for the G scale Society and entered it in our local area group competition and won first place
Good luck with your build remember to post some pic's
Regards Richie
