Hi folks,

I agreed to do some work on a fleet of RhB hoppers for a good friend up here so just thought I`d share some of the progress. I firstly added DCC chips in half the cars as they are motorised whilst he kindly asked if I could weather all the stock too. I`m not trying to go to town on these, just keep it simple as I have about 7 or 8 of these cars to do in total! I`ll try and get some shots out in the garden when the weather improves a little...

Thanks for looking!

Thanks!

It was a collection of older LGB loco decoders that were removed from LGB stock that was upgraded with Massoth sound boards. If I had my choice I would've used much smaller chips as I had to mount the larger boards inside the body of the car itself, but it did save a few pennies re-using some older chips. I think they were LGB 55021 chips that I used...

Thanks folks.

I was actually thinking about re-numbering, and maybe re-lettering too, particularly as the motorised cars have "LGB Automatic" written on the sides. I'm currently weathering the non digital cars which thankfully are more tastefully lettered for the RhB, but I think I will have to do something about the others when I get to them.
