RCS now has an updated TX-3 TX hand piece available. This is ideal for Live steam and Low OFF battery R/C ESC's. It is the same as the original but with 2 x extra function buttons that now permit programming of the excellent 3 amp Deltang Rx65b RX/ESC.

Also new is the very similar TX-4.
This is the same as the TX-3 but with a centre "click" speed control knob to suit most, if not all, Centre OFF battery R/C ESC's. Can be used for Live Steam but not recommended.

I do like the finish on your handheld units, Tony. Do you print your own overlays?

Are your TX6 or TX7 okay for controlling two live steamers (not necessarily at the same time but with different RX installed in each one)

Hi Rik.
Yes I do make my own labels.
They are laser colour printed on a plastic label designed for printing which is then laminated. When cut to size and separated from the backing I have a self adhesive label stuck to the case that has the various drill points marked.
They last quite well as they are not affected by moisture but can fade if left out in the Sun all the time.

Hello Beavercreek.
The TX-7 is designed for one Live Steamer only.
I no longer have the TX-6 on the current list but it is really not suitable for Live Steam anyway.
The TX-5 could be used as is but the knobs would not be conducive for driving 2 x locos. I will have a play around with the artwork and knob placement so that it could use Ch # 1 & # 3 for one loco and Ch # 2 & # 4 for a second loco.
You would require an extra RX for the second loco.

I use larger cases than Deltang use as that allows me to mount the Deltang TX2 module with the antenna well away from the hand holding the case. The human body can shield the signal and testing has shown this does improve the range quite a bit.
