Hello all, Thought i would post up some pics of my Garden Railway, These were taken tonight around dusk. The railway has been down about a year just going around the pond and a large climb to the garage/engine shed. But recently had a larger extension built. More pics to come :)

I call this set last train of the day

Intriguing (?) I look forward to seeing more:thumbup:

Great pictures: thanks for posting them.

I love the idea of taking fish food out to the pond by "field railway"!

:thumbup:very nice.. night shots add so much .

Some lovely angles in those shots, I'd love to see a track plan / overview of the line? It's been down about as long as the EJ&KLR so it would be cool to compare plant growth and how some of your scenic techniques have weathered compares to what I've done (I'm always on the look out to 'borrow' other people's ideas and techniques).

Nice photos, especially as they were taken in the dark!

This one is my favourite....

Track plan added.

Its quite a tight space i have been allocated so tight curves apart from half of the extension using Tenmille flexi. As for the plants i have left what was there and planned the track around the pond removing the plants in the way. The large incline is rather overgrown with sweet pea at the moment. it usually subsides in the summer. Will add more photos at weekend if i get to use it.

tonight's running

Fish needed feeding, well the did until something had most of them for its lunch :( only got 4 left
When i was thinking about building the railway i wanted to design some way of feeding them. I got this idea from a layout i had seen at Llanfair transporting chick peas.
It uses LGB trucks and i have added a larger handle. When you push this on an angled surface the doors open and this fish get fed.

Hello. since taking the above photos i have moved house and of course a bigger railway!! Having a new baby means no pond or fish feeder :(

So far i have got about quarter way around laying the track on concrete. Still need to draw up the final track plan. Moved onto DCC MTS 3 from analogue.

Nice one Rich....

Hello, this is a very picture heavy post.

its been a while since i posted my last images, i now have a complete loop finished thanks to the good weather we had in late May. I have been enjoying let the trains run by late into the evenings. I have still to complete the second loop section that features a steep hill climb for the big engines only most of which will be hidden behind a large rockery. The back of the garden is lower so i have built a wall from thermo blocks and will clad this when the rockery is in place.

Please enjoy!
