Playmobil-style coupling hooks

I am gradually making all my rolling stock double-hooked but yet to be upgraded I have a couple of secondhand open wagons which I think were once produced by GRS and which have Playmobil single axle bogies with integrated coupling drawbars. So, I need a pair of the combined hooks and springs, to make these complete (the conventional LGB ones would not seem to be compatible). The existing hooks on these wagons have the pusher extension on the top of the hook, but I don't particularly care about having that.

If anyone has such hooks spare, or could point me towards a source, I'd be a happy bunny :D

Here's an example of a broken one, which shows better the spring arrangement. This would be some sort of springy ABS I imagine, so not suitable for reproduction by 3D printing? Having found a couple more chassis in my 'hopeless casualties' collection, I am now looking for half a dozen of the blighters!

With ABS the spring is stiffer than the original Playmobil.

Thank you very much - I'd done the usual searches, but hadn't dared look into that mysterious world! Now, to find a practitioner of the dark arts...! I have found an Etsy source (in Germany), who sells a set of 10 printed ones, though I prefer the third design you listed and so I'll see if a stout British chap might do me some like that first. :)

Have you thought about bodgeling an LGB spring in place? Hole to fit spigot into the bottom curve then somehow bodgel the other end to the upright, a small angle and screws may do the job.

Yep, considered it but this is one of those cases when I'm prepared to bite the bullet and buy some, especially as I need several - my Premium Bonds came up this month, so I'm unusually flush :D

Oh me too had a nice little tickle, not enough to buy that mansion up the road but enough for almost 4 TT120 coaches after discount and points deducted.

We got £250 between us, but it all goes straight back into the pot. As we don't actually need the money now, it's better to save for the pension

£300 here (half mine and half the wife's) but as we have the full amount in Premium Bonds it goes into a savings account giving about 5% (best I could do).

I will have a look at printing some from ABS. I've used ABS quite a lot for windows and chimneys on my buildings. I'm curious how the couplings will print.

I'm busy the next few days but hoplng by the weekend ...........

Thanks but The Shed The Shed has already found some files at post#3. The OP has chosen the third version that is a development of the original file.

There are loads of files out there to be found and links are always appreciated.

3D printer has been busy ----

The version above was the first attempt but turned out a bit messy. Looks worse due to the supports that also got into a mess.
Second attempt with a few rweaks to printing parameters is better. (Still with supports).

Last version without rhe uncoupling post and without supports.

The couplings pictured have not been cleaned up, they are exactly as they came off the printer. ABS will clean up nicely, acetone melts it and enables a smooth finish.

Is it also durable as a spring possibly in sunny UV light for extended periods?

Not qualified to answer that about UV. There may be discussions on the 3D thread or elsewhere.
The standard PLA filament prints nicely and is strong up to a point. Then it is brittle and can snap.
ABS doesn't print with quite the same definition but is tougher and more flexible. This is why it is better for use as a spring.
PLA softens at a lower temperature than ABS.
