playmobil 3958 parts again

Thanks for that. Sadly the shopping outside US is not free, but at 14GBP it is a whole lot more affordable. I guess the cab roof has sold?

I think that this same guy has s complete UPRR set for around £500 and a mustard yellow coach for 100 USD plus 40 USD for postage - maybe he will review this postage of that if it doesn't sell?

Thanks for pointing that out and that 3958 set looks very good value - relatively speaking....

It is missing a few cab fittings and a caboose chimney, but it is boxes and mostly complete.

Dare I suggest if you have set your heart on creating a 3958 style loco, I very much doubt if you can beat the value of that Pilot and Smoke Stack - especially as it is post free to you!

Those bits will fit an RC loco too, so all you will need is a cab roof and some decals, but I can help you with the decals.....

Good luck and thanks for sharing.

I don't have my heart set on them even if they are fair prices. If I had a 4017/4019/4021 missing it's smoke stack and front buffers, I would be more interested in those parts, but probably wouldn't pay more than $10-20 each if I was really in the market for them.

Looks like someone else was keen on that smoke stack as today I got an e-mail from e-bay saying it was no longer available. I take it that this means sold?

Hi guys, thought I would revive this thread. I went looking for my own 3958 but there aren't many out there and the ones I could afford are incomplete. I finally tracked down a set that has most of the parts and I've been able to find the missing pieces separately. Shipping from the US to the UK was a bit pricey!
Do you think anyone would be interested in a parts kit to convert their existing loco to the 3958 western set? I was mainly thinking about making a kit for the newer RC versions but the parts should all fit the older brass track locos too.
I'm looking at replicating the different roof for the passenger wagon and parts for the caboose too.
