That's what I meant, make the short bit shorter

Uhh..... allen head wrenches have a long and short side standard, and it is always less than 45mm in these sizes.

Uhh..... allen head wrenches have a long and short side standard, and it is always less than 45mm in these sizes.

The two sets I have are straight with a screwdriver type handle, the one supplied by Hillmans was a similar design with a ball head.

I have a collection of those type that came with flat pack furniture.

Yeah, the traditional allen "wrenches" are quite simple and cheap. Normally one is supplied with clamps that have allen socket head cap screws, like the old hillmans, the split jaws, and their knockoffs.
