My sons got Pershing and a Tiger 1/16 RC Tanks for Christmas.
It seemed that taping the camera on the turret of the tiger and letting them attack the railway was a good way to kill half an hour, and possibly a train...

For the record the projectile has less than a joule of energy so I am not abusing my stuff... Mel sorry your building got a couple of salvos- but I am fairly sure you would be all for a bit of fun!

That looks like great fun! Where was the tank bought from? I may have to get one for [strike]myself[/strike] the kids.
 
Howes Models in Kidlington, Oxford. They have a good webshop if you google. Cost £60. Strictly speaking you need the version with metal running gear and tracks for outdoor use for £100 but I thought one go wouldn't hurt! I bought a replacement 4.5 amp hour battery which gives about an hours play - the nicad included was a bit weedy.

Fantastic video. Based on PaulRhB's posting a year or so ago (got to blame somebody:bigsmile::rolf:) purchased a couple of the 1:24 tanks with the IR battle system. One of the tanks was seen sniffing around the EG&SNNR......

For tanks and paintballing you should check out armourgeddon in Leicestershire. You get to drive full size tanks :bigsmile::bigsmile:

Keith, you have been blaming the wildlife for the loss of those bridge handrails - now we see different! :thumbup:
 
Nice.

I got the metal track Tiger from Howes also. The gun is an inch too short and needs to be lengthened. They prob did it to fit in a common box. As is it's set in the full recoil position. It looks much better when corrected, buts its a awkward job. Also the commanders hatch as was, opened the wrong way and needed turning around. I have howto pics if any one is interested.
