Hi there my name is Adam I currently live in a coach house with no garden but this is up for sale, and I am looking to move to a house with the scope of building a small railway. Over the last few years I have collected a fair bit of track some rolling stock and three locos (all LGB). My initial idea would be to make a raised bed out of railway sleepers around the perimeter of the garden and put the railway in it, then planting it up to break it up a bit. So watch this space(hopefully).
 
Good luck with your ventures. As you can see from the recent postings there's a few of us just starting or rebuilding lines, with all the advice given happily and freely.

Welcome I do second all the comments from the other guys. You may like to look at my build thread link at the bottom of this post. Lots of how I did things, do not be flustered because my line is big. All the concepts do work in a smaller space. Though best advice I can give is to consider running into a Shed (even one as small as 6x4 feet is better than nothing) or Garage if you have one. Stock storage to somewhere that connects direct with your Garden Line makes life so much easier. Keep the Locomotives indoors though. If you can on shelves by the closest point near said shed.

Ah that takes me back. Nice dogbone layout you have there. I flogged off all my OO stuff to fund my venture into G. No reason why you have to do the same, there are several members on here who have OO, N and even Z scale layouts as well, indeed probably every scale/gauge you've ever heard of. Welcome to the what I like to think of as the elite club of G-scalers, also known as the retirement club for those who eyesight is too bad to tinker with anything smaller! :-)
