Yes it looks a good un! (You have to imagine it lined out, the lining really brings the Gamboge paintwork to life)

The first production batch is scheduled for August, with more to follow in November and February.

Happy steamings,

John

Good to see that they appear to have (at last) got rid of those horrible screws on the front buffer beam and have fitted a decent lubricator drain.

As mentioned earlier I overheard a conversation at the Lincoln show that suggested this was to be the new Roundhouse engine . At first glance it looks too long to me, although I am not an expert in such matters . Still it is a handsome loco & I will bear it in mind as a possible addition to the stable .

Geoff Munday of Lightline was shrewd enough to have a fully lined Tom Rolt on his stand at Stoneleigh today. O.k. I don't think this is a Roundhouse version but it shows what it can look like when lined out. (Edit: sorry about my pic appearing twice, I dunno how that happened).

The model looks nice, and lined out, looks better. Still, an odd pick?

This is great news for Tallylyn fans. However it is yet another tank loco. Roundhouse seem to have fogotton tender locomotives.
