MTS decoder problem

Update:

Well after a lot of head scratching and asking Google, the engine is finally running well with sound. I still have to tweak the starting sound, as the engine moves off slowly under speed step 128, but the chuffs sound as if they are running about 10mph. There is no slow build up. Once it’s off, the chuff rate is correct at four beats per revolution.
Too hot at the moment to work upstairs, the broken crank is next on the agenda now the araldite has arrived.

Oh, apparently the decoder is a Massoth L…according to Google, no small wonder that the cv settings it was giving me didn’t work first time. I uploaded a picture of it and within a second came back the answer that it’s not a XLS!

Begs the question:
What is giving you sounds, then?

Apparently, it’s plugged into a sound card of dubious parentage…cmon Phil, you know me and electronic trickery

That is definitely an XLS!

It has screw terminal blocks at each end, and the thin pair of wires plugged in, will be going to the speaker.

Google has been your fiend, in this case. :nerd:
