I'm very impressed by most of those Bachmann figures. Gives me something to aim for -(above?) in my own figures. I admit I'm challenged by the stunning realism of the B'mann jobs. Most of my figures are directly related to train operations rather than ancillary to the railway. So, engine crew, maintenance workers, platform crew, and so forth. These little characters are doing a bit more than just standing or sitting around. I occasionally break away from this focus by making caricature and exaggerated figures. At the moment I have a Keystone-style traffic cop underway. It has been a longish road to get here, but I anticipate shortly to offer news here on the actual availability of my first few cast figures. I have just completed and shipped off several orders for bespoke figures which slowed things down a good bit. Again, this is much more of a hobby for me than a commercial enterprise - By making many, many blunders along the way, I've enjoyed a hard course of learning how to do it properly and the many, many ways NOT to! We'll see how all this goes in the future.
The Summer Wine crew would make an enjoyable project, now, wouldn't they?
Cheers, lads!
