Aha, they finally released the rest of the figures. I have several sets of the engine crew, and the others will come in handy!

If so they would be around her ankles, anyway if you have ever been to Leicestershire you would know.

Having had an English father, born in north London, 1914. I just adore the "Last of the summer wine" series.
If retirement communities really look like the one in the series then the USA should take a hint and follow suit. I'd rather live there then in a cookie cutter retirement community.
Why does the English countryside always look so beautiful??? I miss Compo.

I'm very impressed by most of those Bachmann figures. Gives me something to aim for -(above?) in my own figures. I admit I'm challenged by the stunning realism of the B'mann jobs. Most of my figures are directly related to train operations rather than ancillary to the railway. So, engine crew, maintenance workers, platform crew, and so forth. These little characters are doing a bit more than just standing or sitting around. I occasionally break away from this focus by making caricature and exaggerated figures. At the moment I have a Keystone-style traffic cop underway. It has been a longish road to get here, but I anticipate shortly to offer news here on the actual availability of my first few cast figures. I have just completed and shipped off several orders for bespoke figures which slowed things down a good bit. Again, this is much more of a hobby for me than a commercial enterprise - By making many, many blunders along the way, I've enjoyed a hard course of learning how to do it properly and the many, many ways NOT to! We'll see how all this goes in the future.
The Summer Wine crew would make an enjoyable project, now, wouldn't they?
Cheers, lads!

To say that I was a little disappointed would be an understatement.
The guard as a substantial part of his hat missing and various air bubble holes:-

The plate layer has a substantial hole in his chin:-

The Station Master has part of his nose missing, three holes in the peak of his cap, part of his right boot is missing and there is far too much excess resin on his legs:-

After seeing this brand of figures at shows, I've always avoided them like the plague, they are all very poorly moulded and cost more than any other makes.

Paul, I had only seen one of these figures previously and I was most impressed with it. I’ve since found out that the figure was cast as poorly as mine. The owner had to do a lot of fettling to get the result he desired. If I had known this before hand i wouldn’t have purchased them.
Still, I’m going to make the most of a bad job and see what I can do with them.204AAD8C-99BF-4DFE-8CA4-5A8F73E2EAA1.jpegAC95166E-C337-49D3-9369-BFCCCA0338A8.jpeg
Excess resin has been removed, holes have been filled in and hat, noses and chins have been remoulded. I will let the filler dry overnight before taking a file to them.
