I've had a MAJOR problem with my Aristo live steam Mikado. Is anyone out there very familiar with these locos? It's run perfectly for the past two years. I should add that it's my only steam loco and I am certainly not all that familiar with live steam. Cheers.

I've had one for a few years, you can ask me also. I just posted an answer there that someone asked about on smoke box fires. Looking back at the previous forum posts you can learn quite a bit also. I posted a sheet of general firing instructions that many have found helpful.

You should get one of the Summerland Chuffers for your Mikado, really are nice! You can see a video on their web page of mine running with their chuffer installed, easy install!

Jerry, I've seen your Mike running with the Summerlands Chuffer and I'll definitely be getting one for mine - they make an impressive difference,
