A project I started a couple of months ago. Inspired by cocktail 'sticks' (??), I turned some spare Feldbahn wagons into loggers. I need some more branches to fill them up nicely, but I already like this result!

Love the work. What did you use for the Planks, I think I would have used Coffee Stirers. Generally Free if you are a miser like me, the Nene Valley had a good line last week in nice long ones. Once all at the Table knew what I wanted them for I got a good few.

I love the feldbahn cars. Of all of the stock I have, they still perform the best on my railway. Plus, with these short cars, a realistic length train is easily accomplished.

So do I. I have 12, eight bolster versions, two where the gear for holding the logs has been removed by a previous owner and two which at one time had been fitted out to carry the forklift truck.

For the last four, I want to make some "drop-on" bodies to convert them temporarily to open trucks or tankers. Maybe too use an old Playmobile workman's wheeled hut to make a guards van for one and a Playmobil crane from a tow truck to make a crane wagon.

I love the looks of the feldbahn locos and have the little diesel and the O & K steam loco. I've only run the O & K as a test on my layout. I fear damage to the gears and belts. The little diesel has seen more run time out there albeit with only a couple of feldbahn wagons. Maybe I'll build an indoor layout at some point strictly for the O & K.
 
In the early days of the CFR I ran a fleet of feldbahn locomotives(12), both diesel and steam outline. They ran reasonably well but all after a while required new drive belts and eventually new gears. I eventually passed them on and concentrated on larger locomotives. The feldbahn stock now gets used with the Roundhouse "Little John" and "Bulldog" locomotives.
