Happy Steaming.
I finished assembling my Live Steam only 13x7 Oval Non Scenic Layout.I need to nail down planks made of a hard wood called Sandeply from The Home Depot.Anf the table frame and legs are made of Birch,I would like to know if it would be okay just to lay already purchased Astro Turf. I will be using45 MM Track and inner oval HO Track.
LGB/Eventually Aristocraft. It is a roadbed for show on model trains.I would prefer not to add too many nail screws.Live Steam trains are heavier than electrics.I am new to track layout but by no means Live Steam.Any info/tips/not to do are welcome.The more the better.BTW, I purchased the Planks of Sandeply because my basement here in NYC USA is extremely humid. 2 gallons of water in 24 hours, 7 days a week, basically all summer.
