LGB track cleaner

A rather eclectic mix of "Seller's other items" as well..

Very dodgy... There is a 'Track Magic', and obviously 'LGB'. - I think the seller is 'passing off'?

I think this same seller uses a picture of a Stainz to sell packaged Lithium batteries. - The packs do not seem to have any protection built-in?

So do i have a gripe here, that before and after photo is one of mine.

All the more misleading it's Aristo and LGB track showing, not a before and after.

Some people will use anything to promote their product.

...and just to prove a point, the thread where i posted the photo.

I already have.:swear:

Still peeved though, will be even more peeved if it turns out that it is a fellow member of this forum behind it.:swear:

Not necessarily - pictures from the forum often pop up if you're googling a specific large scale topic. I only found this out as my particular interest (Fn3 - 1:20.3 scale) is fairly limited in terms of model supply, and when I google 'Fn3 freight wagon' I will frequently see images from my own posts on this forum.

Anyone heard of this stuff

Looking at the blokes feedback, looks like a con.
Oh, even better - he's gone to the expense of fake LGB labels, and got a massive typo o_Oo_Oo_O

'Makes track look brand new is if its magic' oh yes, and he also forgot the apostrophe :lipssealed::lipssealed::lipssealed:

He also admits to handling stolen goods - well his user name is 'fencing1988'

I know several images of my railway pop up in google searches, but lets face facts, once an image is out there on the web it's out there, and its a long shot that it is a fellow member of this forum.
If it is they must be living in another reality if they thought no one would notice, or just so cock sure of themselves, not to care if anyone notices.

I like asking questions, he told me it is Pet and Plant safe if you spray the track in situ that's probably why it can take up to 12 hours :) there carn't be a lot in it if it's not harmful to plants or animals  and no I am not buying any.

Indeed they do, I was researching the net for pics of Harz Malletts and a pic of my Battery Conversion of my Green TL one popped right out at me.

Ok an update from my point of view.

I have reported this product to my local and Derbyshire Trading Standards, via phone (Local) awaiting a call back, and via an on line format (Derbyshire) response within three working days.

They may want to see what is posted here, they can anyway as it is not a members only topic, i will assume that is OK with everyone, unless someone tells me otherwise.

Well Mr Lange conveniently posts his address etc. within the eBay listing.. - Not the brightest move, if doing something dodgy!

He reckons to fit 30V of Lithium batteries (plus a regulator, to be fair) in people's LGB loco's..

I might let him electrify my fence. But think I will ask, he steer-clear of my loco's! :D:D

I see this product is still being advertised. I reported the item ages ago and got no response - did anyone else get anywhere?

No

Report it to LGB

I think it has been flagged to them??
Certainly Delux(e) Products (who make Track Magic) know about it..

I have gone the evilBay report route.. Got an automated reply. - This was a day, or so, after the first report on here.
The Cynic in me, thinks the speed evilBay act, is in inverse-proportion, to the amount of revenue the Seller brings in to evilBay.

In practice, they can not be product experts in everything, so it may:
1. Take a little time.
2. Rely on more then one person reporting it.

All conjecture on my part, though.. :wondering:

Reported as a copyright infringement using LGB's logo on a product not made by LGB. Evilbay no longer tell you the outcome when you report something, they just remove it, tell the seller whats wrong or ignore you :) I used to report people selling Motor trikes that they did not own after being caught up in a con job, but sussed it before it cost me money, but gave up reporting once they stopped letting you know what the outcome was.
