Hello everyone from France,

I have an LGB 20590 Kof engine. The lighting works in analog mode but not in digital mode.

I tried with another board and got the same result. I've never encountered this problem before. Do you know what might be causing it?

Best regards.

Erm sorty if this sounds a bit condescending but have you turned them on? Button on your handset will have a mini sun, generally 9.

Failing the previous post.
If your speed steps are out of sync say 28 on the conroller and 14 on the loco chip, it can play havoc with the lights.

Oh yes forgot that feature! Though where we tended to regularly have it flashing lights tended to be the problem.

Speed steps.
'9' or '0' possibly, to turn then on.

Depending on the system, they may be turned off (for DCC) within the CV settings?

Yes, as others have said, F9 on Massoth Navigator or the sun button on an MTS handset.

Bon chance....

Thank you for your replies.

I’m using the 55015 P control, and it works perfectly with the other engines.

I took everything apart and noticed a difference between the two bars; they’re not the same metal and the same size. Is this normal?

Thank you.

I do hope you know *exactly* where you removed each piece from?

If the lights work under DC, they are connected (correctly) to something for DC.

If they do not work under DCC, I would not be taking the motor-block apart.
I would be looking at where the lights were connected to the decoder, and the CV settings associated with those outputs.

Dear PhiLP
I confirm that the lights work under DC.
I can try with the CVs, but I do not know the values for this board.

I used to use the mts3 with the 55015p, until a few months ago.
Certain locos,of which I have not made a list, have lights that work in dc, but not in dcc with the 55015p.
(I now have the central station 3, so i know the lights work digitally.)

Theres nothing wrong. “9” doesnt always activate the lights with the 55015p
It depends on the loco./board.
I have the alexander theisen sachsen iik, no,lights, yet, black DR toy fair edition, lights.

Sachsen ivk, vik, austrian center cab diesel, newest orange jack rod switcher, older mts and brand new mfx moguls, all good.

Being absolutely clueless about addresses, dcc, and of course, life, lol, i assume, simply, that certain early boards dont link lights to “9”. Not a solution, simply to let you know my experience. Nothings amiss with the loco or handheld.

As for the bars, they should be the same size, i believe. i don’t know if it matters, so long as they make contact. If your loco is operating properly in dc, that indicates the difference in size isn’t an issue.
