I know of someone who regrets selling his blue one, if anyone knows of one available??

are those factory paint?
methinks not

LGB and Kiss have released Crocodiles in brown (LGB, Kiss), blue (LGB, Kiss), red (LGB) and green (LGB) versions, any other color are repaints or scratch buildt. Only brown and one blue has ever run on RhB. The blue one is still available from LGB, however this blue version is not a 100% represantation of the one blue that did run at RhB, the running no. for instance is incorrect.

They both appear to be special editions for Modell-Land:

They also offer a Khristmas Krok!

Not for, but by ML. They state that they repainted original LGB locos. The guy advertising them on Ebay UK is looking to make a healthy profit, selling an 800 E for 800 Pounds, plus postage from Germany. I had a look on his own German web site and he generally seems to charge pharmacy prices.

The Xmas version plays Xmas songs... How whimsical can they get?

Same (LGB) Christmas sound-card as the steel-bodied tram..
I can tell you (from experience!) after about an hour and a half of it trundling round.. Enough is definitely enough! :o :-X ;)

Does he live in Dundee??

Hat, coat, door..
There was a croc collector from Dundee,
he used to go outdoors to pee
And while he was there
along came the mayor
"go inside you silly man from Dundee"
Boom Boom!

LGB made two blue Kroks the earlier one is the fantasy one to match the orient express Pullmans and the later one was in the darker blue of the real 412 that has sadly been scrapped for spares to keep 414 & 415 going after 412 had a major drive failure.
Alpine classic version

BEMO and LGB sponsored a blue RhB Crock for the ACPE-train in 2005, at the 75th anniversary of the Glacier Express.

So the LGB 27402 blue crock Nr. 412 has a real Prototype and also both plates on it, BEMO and LGB.

also the model has the "75 Jahre Glacier Express" Logo as the ACPE (Pullman) train had in 2005.

Some people said, they sponsored the prototype just to make the model......

The blue ACPE coaches with "75-J-logo" are

LGB 36650 and LGB 36650/II
LGB 36653 and LGB 36653/II

without logo: 33650, 33653, 34650, 34653

nice trains, I like them all. LGB made 19 different Pullman-coaches, inkludung the real RHB-variants.

regards,

Michael

The coloured crocks from modellland-service are pure fantasy-produts to make profit, profit, and more profit.... :(

Hi being new to this forum and in regard to the white and gold Crocodiles ,They are .LGB/Marklin based but not produced by then. As a LGB club member I asked the question on whether they could source information on numbers made but could not and stated that they were produced by a shop front like MTS or ML trains but really had no idea.
I have a contact at ML as I know that that did sell the white version when it was available.
