Are COOP and LGB creating a collectors club, similar to Lledo in the 80's?

Looks like it, trouble is collecting takes a lot of space with LGB as I found out with my Corpet, Steam Tram and Tram collections. Gave up Trams when LGB introduced a pink Tram and Maerklin overpriced Corpets and Steam Trams. Now partially disposed of and working on most if the rest.
