Evening all, many thanks for your comments, most well above me but Monday I go back to Maplins having spent £30 and not got 1 light, is there a simple thing I can use to them? Les

Morning all, like a lot of folk I have the remains of those lamps which were about 2/3 years ago, the NW Meet layout has used them I think they look great, I already have 2 old sets around my layout indoors and out and with the new board indoors I wanted to use them, I like lights on Layouts, that's all, I did try to make goods yards light but the way I am now they wouldn't last long as I keep knocking thing over Les

from ebay? At £2.59 inc p&p twenty are cheaper as an out of the box solution than buying one and a resistor from Maplin to wire up yourself.

Evening all, son Keith came around last night with a pack of 20 fitted Leds for £5.99, I have been in Maplins to-day and they have given me a supply of resistors to try the remainder of the leds, I will let you know how I get on Les

Morning all I put the cheap leds on the layout yesterday and they didn't blow so I will play with the Maplins sometime when its warmer Les
