Isle of Man DJB Half brake kit parts

Does anyone know or remember what these parts are for? can't find any reference to them in the instructions.

They look like the locking part have in my UGears kit, which that lock the couplers in the mounting hole perhaps(?)

They were ply versions of the hinges, which in your kit are whitemetal castings. I'm not sure why they were included -my small F kit had them too!

Thanks mate, I shall carry on building without fear that I've left out something very important and watch it fall apart on the test run

What, you mean you haven't found the clinch pin? It will be like the Hornby Battle Space exploding boxcar without it!
