IP Engineering Freelance Carriages

I went for a Southern Railway ish green. I also had problems with fitting the running boards so just stuck them on. They look OK to me. Overall I'm really pleased with mine, they have been fun to build, a bit of a challenge too....and I like that. I'll update this when I build my third one.

Got to say with IP coaches the plasticard roof is the only thing I throw away! I make my roof for each coach with individual planks of thin wood, then cover it with a suitable cloth (in 7/8ths this is a bit of old bed sheet but this would be too coarse a material in 16mm/G I think). The result is a nice curved roof that stays in shape and looks right too, as you can see the planking through the covering as per prototype. I do mine over new curved formers as I want a separate structure that comes off but you could equally fix it permanently...

Nice green on those two nice coaches, they look fine behind the L&B loco!
