Got to thinking, how about a thread for the Christmas Stainz since it is getting 'personalized', as Julie who gave it to me says.
With being a railway modeler and a quilter she gets the concept of modifying things to make them fit what you want to do.
After Christmas conversation revealed that she gave it with curiosity about what I would do with it but some anxiety since it was
multiple decades old and not in factory showroom flawless shape.
But she knew I liked to fix things up for my trains and have a number of cars and locos in HO, On30, and G which were intentionally
acquired as rehab and kitbash cases.
Stainz came from a seller in London.
The UK one. There are other Londons.
Yesterday she relayed its online description to me, in the course of our email conversation.
Turned out no other details were loose.
I'm going to replace the bulbs with LED anyway.
Box was quickly mended with the assistance of some Aleen's Tacky craft glue; tear was expanded during its international postal journey, which is not astonishing.
Okay, have posted some photos in Christmas day threads,
let's collect them all in one thread.
Will add 2 photos to this post then make a new post.
Georgie cat, did she really do that?
Oh my, she did.

LGB 2010 Engine for G scale Steam Engine with Green Cab 1970s Original Box.
On the funnel there is a sticker which reads: "Locomotivfabrik Krauss & Cie No. 1994 Linz a/d 1889
Made in Germany by Lehmann probably in the 1970s
Used but works very well. Very smooth run. The lights front and back don't work, but that could be just the bulbs.
Some details may been knocked off, I wouldn't know. But the missing buffer is in the box ready to be glued back on.
Original box in good condition with one tear (which you can see in the last photo), but does not compromise the box.
