Mr Lin on YouTube does a step by step painted model of a 1:24 scale woman. Since he's in Taiwan, it looks like more paint options are available to him than are currently available to we in the west. (FloQuil RIP)

I think you need to look at Military and Wargaming colours, endless varieties there.

By all accounts, Warhammer Paints have a huge range. Quite expensive though

I use vallejo, similar to Warehammer but endless options on colors.

Vallejo are excellent, but there are also many other ranges worth a look: Army Painter, MiG Ammo and AK Interactive to name but three. All of these have vast ranges of colours, special effects paints and much more - everything from mud, rust and oil streaks to rotting zombie flesh....
