I am running a German themed garden railway with Latvian name in the English Midlands. I also build locomotives, rail trucks, sometimes from scratch, sometimes motorising scale models. I design and build trackside infrastructure too, often using 3D printing. I restore and modify my rolling stock too. The layout is run on DCC and all my locos are DCC, some with sound.

i often film it and upload on Youtube. here is my channel. Jaungauja Line Jaungauja Line

Welcome to the forum Peter.

I too will be at the Midlands Garden Railway Show on Saturday....

Hello and welcome from the wilds of north Buckinghamshire. The BBC cannot make its mind up if we are in their Midlands, Southern or Easten regions. Nice to see a video channel, I pop the odd video on here sometimes. I run a "twinloop" layout too, its arranged as a folded figure 8 that allows continuous running between the two loops. Used to be DC/Train Engineer, now run "dead rail" battery/rc and live steam. Taken me 23 years to get where I am now, still growing and learning. I too am going to the show on Saturday. Will be paying a visit to RC Trains stand, and a few others. Max

I am yet to build another track bit connecting two loops over smaller bridge - but i think that'll be it for this layout :)

Greetings from tiddly-tiny land*. Normally the newbies say they will be asking questions but judging by your introduction we shall be asking you! A nice looking layout in your video.

* I'm from Derby but geography has stepped in and I will not be at any shows. Which bit of the midlands are you in?

Welcome aboard, Peter.

Welcome to the Forum! You'll find that we're a friendly bunch, and this weekend's show is a good way to put a few names to faces; I'll be there on Sunday.
Edit: nice line, by the way! It looks like you have some shunting options, as well as running 'through' trains?

Cheers mate, i may make it to show, but not sure yet.

Yeah, there is a bit for shunting/storing wagons. and i will soon automate all switches, they are partially automated already, but i am going to rebuild DCC infrastructure around switches, it is suboptimal now.
