H&MGR, a family railway in NZ

Just in case I haven't said so before - I LOVE the atmosphere of your railway John..... and the way the light falls on your dioramas is to die for!

Congratulations

Rob

If I post a rowing boat and two oars to you will you come and detail my railway please.

The word " fantastic" sums up your pictures thanks for sharing.
Cheers Garry.

John,

What about showing us the video you took of Frank S in steam on the line? From memory it was good entertainment- Well I enjoyed it!!!:rolf::rolf: Oh sorry am I telling tales out of school? Well it was really good.

the lines looking better every time i see it, love it

I was there last weekend and what a stunning peice of work. If I had taken the time to lay things properly and do it right things may have turned out differently. One of the things I loved about the line is the way everything is in harmony with the surroundings. Work well done I say. Probably one of the nicest in NZ I have seen so far.:thumbup:

Cracking set of photos as always but I think this one is really special.

Umm gosh thanks everyone - blush -
It really is a pretty humble railway, the things achieved are thanks to the motivation provided by you my friends.:D

Weather and other tasks have been against much train running lately, but there has been some activity in the H&MGR workshops. And this evening we tested SWMBO's new train of Binnie skips as night fell. Train passed muster, still needs a load and a bit of weathering, but happy with the result.

The train holds an Aristo-craft Revolution receiver in the first hopper, charging socket and on/off switch in the 2nd with 3xAA batteries in each of the remaining 4 hoppers.

John - those skips look right with the O&K
we've got a similar Feldbahn loco, but the LGB skips we got for it ages ago just look a bit big for it

4th July and the sun shone down at the station...

Your railway is simply brilliant. I love the trestle. Also the way that the mosses and general vegataion have kind of grown through to make it all seem REAL....

...and taking a bit of time warp fomr a couple of days ago, the last two pictures as the sun has gone...

...important to test in all light conditions you see (images get a bit grainy but what the heck). 8|

Thank you, it's real to me in my own little way

Looking lovely as always John, that little green loco is a delight and I agree with Ian about the way it has all nestled into the landscape, a joy as always! ...
